On this promotional CD from Carter Steel Guitars, Billy shows the potential of the Carter-Starter "entry-level" pedal steel. He shatters any previously held notions about the E9th tuning in the very first song, and then procedes to take you on a guided tour of popular steel guitar styles.
I know that the Carter-Starter is supposed to be the "star" here, but Billy's playing is so good that you forget about that. His soulful rendition of Desperado, for example, is one that I keep coming back to for inspiration.
